Privacy

We do not collect anything.

MiniScape Games does not collect personal data. This page says exactly what that means for the website and for the games.

This website

miniscapegames.com is a static, server-rendered site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no third-party trackers.

Opening a page makes no request to anyone else either: the fonts, the stylesheet, the images and the video clips are all served from this domain, so no third party learns that you were here. The only record is the standard access log the web server keeps for security and troubleshooting.

There is one exception, and it waits for you. The trailers on the Shift, LOOP, SWAP, Tilt and Alone pages, and the short on the Shift page, are on the MiniScape Games channel on YouTube. What the page loads is a still image from this domain with a play button on it; only when you press play is the player fetched from youtube-nocookie.com, and from that moment Google can see your IP address and may store something on your device under its own policy. Do not press play and nothing about you reaches Google.

Switching between English and Dutch is a plain link to another URL. No preference is stored, so there is no language cookie either.

The Google Play buttons on this site are plain links as well. Nothing is loaded from Google while you read; only when you tap one do you leave this site for Google Play, where Google's own privacy policy applies.

The games

None of the games collects anything. Shift, LOOP, SWAP, Midnight Dash, Tilt and Alone have no account system, no sign-in, no advertising SDK, no analytics and no crash reporter.

Your high scores, the name you enter next to them, your story progress, your solved levels, the world you have built and your settings are written to the app storage on your own device. They are never uploaded. Uninstalling an app deletes them.

Every game requests the vibration permission for haptic feedback. Each one also carries the standard internet permission that the app framework declares by default; none of them uses it, and every game works with the network switched off.

Two of them can show notifications, and only after asking you first. Midnight Dash offers one daily reminder at 9:00. Alone lets you know when a capsule lands, a helper is back from sea or the radio has something, and keeps quiet between 22:00 and 08:00. Both are scheduled on your phone by the game itself, nothing comes from a server, and both can be switched off in the settings. Alone also has a widget for your home screen, which the game draws on your phone from your own island; it sends nothing anywhere either.

Each game's About screen links to this site and to our developer page on Google Play, and Midnight Dash's also to Cinemascape Music, who made its soundtrack. Tapping one hands you over to your browser or to Google's app; the games themselves send nothing anywhere.

Children

Because no data is collected from anyone, nothing is collected from children either. None of the games contains advertising, purchases or links out to social platforms.

Changes

If a future game ever needs to collect something — an online leaderboard would be the obvious case — this page will be updated before that release ships, and the change will be described here rather than buried in a version bump.
